Child morality rates are a concern for everyone. nearly 41 out of every 1000 live birth. The worst part about this is most of these cases are from easily treatable illnesses these countries don't have the resources to obtain. I find this heart wrenching, because hundreds to thousands of kids are dying each day from treatable illnesses. I did enjoy learning that they hope to have this number significantly lower, to almost non-existent by 2035 thanks to UNICEF, and many other charitable and life caring organizations.
I care about this issue because kids are our future. They are the ones who will make changes for us. Personally if I was to live in another country where my child was dying, from a completely curable virus, I would want something to be done.
Although this isn't happening as commonly in America, it is hitting hard world round. I feel deeply sorry for the Countries it is affecting deeply. I am glad to see that organizations are making a stand and hoping for change.
